The House
Himaya is made up of two houses which are stones throw apart; the main house and the guest house. The master bedroom is in the main house with stunning sea views and a huge bathroom that also looks out to sea. The guest wing has three further bedrooms, all ensuite, which look across the pool to the sea and a further ensuite garden room. Himaya comfortably sleeps 10 adults and 2 children across these 5 bedrooms.
The house has its own private access to the beach, through a stunning Lamu door, and there are also showers by the entrance.

Who We Are
Himaya is a beloved family run property that has been loved and lived in for the last 50 years. We like nothing more than to welcome you to our home and share our slice of paradise with you.
Our family have been in Kenya for four generations. We’ve worked on films like Out of Africa and Born Free and run conservation projects across the country, for elephants, lions and forests to name a few! We are passionate about the environment and about human-animal coexistence and about helping all humans live happy, healthy lives.
Our team at Himaya are an extension of the family; some of them have been with us for nearly 20 years! They are on hand for meals, maintenance, shopping… and heated conversations about football if you’re that way inclined!
The Himaya Team! On hand to ensure all aspects of your stay are to the highest standard, but you'll only know they are there when you want them!
Silas, overall head honcho!
Sammy, chef extraordinare!
